Which Explanation Do You Prefer?

In this experiment, you will be presented with a series of short social-media texts. Each text was written either by a person or generated by AI. Alongside each text you will see two explanations of what makes it look human-written or AI-generated.

Your task is simply to read both explanations and choose the one you prefer — the one you find clearer, more convincing, or more useful. There is no right or wrong answer, and your choice is not scored.

This research is conducted by Northwestern University's Computer Science department. All data for research is collected anonymously for research purposes. Participation is voluntary, and you may only participate if you are 18 years of age or older.
